Impact
Our work is rooted in the belief that art is not just entertainment; it is a tool for revolution, healing, and collective empowerment. Through performances, dialogues, and workshops, we bridge the gap between civic education and creative expression.

Wema Hauozi
Wema Hauozi is a Kenyan Swahili play by Timothy Arege, centering on Subira, a kind-hearted girl who faces various challenges including poverty, her father’s disability, and harassment. Despite these obstacles, Subira’s unwavering goodness and perseverance allow her to receive help from her community, ultimately leading to success for her family, embodying the proverb “wema hauozi” (kindness never spoils).

Strange Happenings
Strange Happenings by Jennie Marima is a novella for Grade 7 students set in Diani, Kenya, about Mwawasi, a boy who joins Pweza Academy and encounters a suspicious teacher, Ms. Kanene, and a mysterious man, Hamisi. Mwawasi is targeted by Hamisi, leading to a dangerous situation at the beach where he is rescued by his sister Chao, but the experience leaves him dehydrated and with memory loss. Ms. Kanene discovers the siblings are related and asks them to keep the secret of the beach, though the overall plot involves their struggle with the strange events and their intertwined fate.

Parliament of Owls
Parliament of Owls by Adipo Sidang is a play that serves as a political satire of African politics, particularly in Kenya, where a corrupt parliament of owls rules a kingdom of birds. The owls, led by King Tula Nyongoro, pass laws that benefit themselves at the expense of other birds, leading to corruption and injustice. A clever day bird named Oyundi the Fire rallies other birds to fight back against the oppressive regime, ultimately seeking change through organized resistance and exposing the owls’ secrets.
